We can't express how thankful we are to have built this community of dedicated photographers from Kern County. Unfortunately, the time has come for the site to close down. Please head over to the site news page for more information.
A gallery from the inspired Wind Wolves Compadres.
Led by David Clendenen in his 4WD, the four of us gave it our all: David Clendenen, James Burrow, Steve Rengers, and myself, Wayne D. Wong.
We enjoyed great favor from the Creator, arguably experiencing the greatest shooting day of our lives...awesome scenery, amazing camaraderie, and outstanding photos! David drove us to areas that normally are not accessible to the general public, and we aimed to bring back images that had never been seen before.
It was indeed a larger-than-life experience, and we all deeply felt that the photos would have far reaching and transformational impact. You can see the distinct contributions of each photographer, especially with similar subjects.
In other cases, the shot could only be made out the window and without looking, and at all angles...I rode shotgun, and it fell to me to do my "no looke" shots. David, Steve, and James witnessed it all and can verify the technique. This is the embodiment of seeing via knowing how the camera sees the scene and not depending on the eyes to frame and time the shot.
This is the stuff of which legends are made ...
