Red Tailed Pair Minding the Egg
I spent a long time watching this pair take turns hunting for prey and sitting on the egg. This photo was take on the Kern Canyon Road a couple of miles from the mouth of the canyon. The photo was taken before I became serious and used a tripod on all my shots, so its not as sharp as it could be.

High Tech Kayakers
Two kayakers plan their strategy before embarking on their journey through the Kern River near the mouth of the canyon.
Everything was captured here in Kern County. My creation is two photos blended together to make a magical dreamy night time scene. The moon was shot at 200 mm at Riverlakes and the stars and trees with a 14 mm at Mt. Pinos.
I am an musician and photographer working in Bakersfield and Southern California. My inspiration in photography comes from my music, fine art masterpieces and a love of the outdoors. I primarily enjoy epic landscape scenes but find myself drawn to macro as well. Color and sweeping lines are characteristics of my work. The feelings I strive to portray are calmness and peacefulness.
