FENCED OUT
About 40 feet to the right of the barbed wire fence is an old rusty water tank. It is set down in a little crevice so that only the top two feet is visible. You can see it as you drive along Bena Road, but, can't access it from anywhere except the other side of the fence. I've seen it for years and would like to shoot it, but, I'm not too much on going over barbed wire. Full-size photo

commented 2 months agoThanks, Steve. That's right, that fence post is right where it's suppose to be!

commented 3 months agoDavid, I was actually thinking of stories I have heard about old water tanks that are so rusted out that when you walk on them, they collapse, causing the unwary to be dropped into a huge abyss from which there is no easy escape. Moral: go with a buddy just in case, and have a truck with a long cable... We won't discuss the possibility of a snake den inside either, but then I digress...:)

commented 3 months agoThanks, Wayne. The only nasty we've run into on this hill is rattlesnakes. :)

commented 3 months agoDavid, you probably wouldn't want to find some nasty surprises around old water tanks....:)
