Lonely Oak
I've always enjoyed this image, even though its not sharp. It was one of those mostly cloudy days with windows of light occasionally streaming across the landscape, and I managed to catch one as it lit up the tree for just a moment. I imagine there's a lonely old cowboy's grave under this tree, but time has taken his wooden marker back to the earth along with his mortal flesh.

commented 6 months agoDavid, that is a wonderful description, with timeless patina burnished with eternal wisdom. I can hear a a preacher saying, "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
Perhaps the preacher would be a Clint Eastwood type....
