commented 6 months agoSteve, this is one of your best compositions...it looks like Canada or Alaska...the foreground looks like a giant stage into the water's edge, where you can experience the full impact of the panoramic vista, with the sights and sounds attending.
The solitude and reflection patterns in the water give a hint of the cloud formations above.
There is the impression of infinity and beyond....a locus larger-than-life forces at work. Just as the camera, even a D800, cannot capture the full dynamic range, we get the impression that the human eye could not encompass what was going on.
The scene is not ethereal, it is declarative! It says, "Let There Be Light!" And there was light!
