Spaghettini with French Bread and Grapes
We haven't had pasta for dinner in a while, so I doctored up a couple of jars of bottled Prego sauce with lean ground beef, minced garlic, onion powder, fresh mushrooms, a bay leaf, fortified with a 1/2 cup of Sauvignon Blanc. Slow simmered for a couple of hours.
We had some nice large seedless grapes, so I included that on the side, with fresh parsley. My wife made the spaghettini, which came out perfectly. At first I thought it was linguine, but linguine has flat sides, not very wide, not as wide as fettuccine. I think I have some of each....maybe next time....:)
All done before the Vice-Presidential debate....
